Lingusamy's Paiyaa is a super hit!

Lingusamy is a very happy man. His Thirrupathi Brothers produced Paiyaa, marketed by Cloud Nine and featuring Karthi and Tamannaah is turning out to be a super hit. The film is summer’s first big hit and is number one choice of family audiences across Tamil Nadu.
Says Lingusamy: “ Paiyaa is already a super hit, people are simply loving the movie. It has netted an awesome Rs 20 Crore from nearly 300 screens in Tamil Nadu in the first two weeks, which the trade feels is fantastic by any yardstick.”
Lingu says the audiences love it due to the films racy narration, Yuvan Shankar Raja’s music and the charismatic appeal of Karthi and Tamannah and the marketing of Cloud Nine.
Says Lingusamy: “The distributors and theatre people are telling me that its collection will cross all recent hits. In some areas it crossed the collections of some recent hits in the first week itself. It’s the biggest hit in my life.”
What next for the hit director. Lingusamy with a smile says: “My responsibilities have increased with Paiyaa turning out to be such a big hit. I will be starting the my next film with Simbu for Cloud Nine in June.”
On Sunday (April 18) night Lingusamy, held a big Paiyaa success party for friends and unit members of the film. Tamannaah flew down from Mumbai for the party, which was attended by a lot of Kollywood celebs.
